Santa Victòria de Sauleda can be reached on foot or by bicycle, and is one of the stopping points of the Trail of the 10 Hermitages. You can also get there by car, but you must leave your car a short walk away.
The hermitage is very small and is next to the access to the Santa Victòria plateau, a stopping point or destination of many walking trails, and even more mountain bike trails.
Sauleda was already mentioned as a village in the IX century, but we cannot place the church in time until the XI century. In 1167, the Bishop of Girona donated it to the community of Sant Pere de Cercada. The building, almost void of posterior reformation, has a rectangular nave with a semicircular apse which is decorated on the outside with a lombard arch frieze. It has a rounded arch doorway to the West, and a double bell gable on top of the façade. On the north side, a large square-floored chapel was built. To the south there is a small attached cemetery. Everything has been restored and is in a good condition.
Practical information: can be visited. The church will remain closed except for when mass is celebrated.
